A few words about

What We Do

Our projects

Our organization drives and supports projects that aid the empowerment of women & girls

Below are some of projects we are currently involved in

Education

In Kenya, 40% of girls are married before their 18th birthday, but the number is much higher in the rural communities we serve. In international and human rights law, child marriage is widely understood to mean any marriage involving at least one person under the age of 18

Health care

We believe our communities develop by ensuring all members are involved equally, women, girls, and boys, youth and elders. Proper healthcare is vital to achieve this.

Awareness

In the Maasai communities where we work, almost 80% of all women have been cut. FGM/C is a devastating and sometimes fatal practice that involves the partial or complete removal of the clitoris, often linked to a girl’s coming of age. FGM/C leads to a wide range of physical and psychological complications, including higher rates of maternal mortality and PTSD.

empowerment

Promoting gender equality by advocating participation and involvement of indigenous women in all areas of development. We do this by educating indigenous women and girls to create awareness and enhance their knowledge on social, economic and political aspects
